Amber Flannery, MA LPC CPCS

Clinical Director/Founder

Hi there! I'm Amber. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and also the owner of Live Oak Counseling, which I started in January of 2021. When I am not seeing my own clients, managing the ins and outs of the practice, or chatting with my staff... I can be found spending time with my family and friends, or getting ready for an adventure. I love to travel, try hole-in-the-wall restaurants, read a good book, try new things (the more adrenaline the better), and plan budget friendly get-aways (it's part of my self-care). I am plugged into my local church, and enjoy networking within my local community and fostering new relationships. I genuinely love this thing called life and the beautiful people in it!

As a Therapist;

I specialize in working with adults who are ready to engage in meaningful, goal-oriented therapy to improve their mental health and overall quality of life. My clients often come to therapy to address boundary issues, relationship patterns, past trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and mood dysregulation. Through an integrative and client-centered approach, we explore family dynamics, self-esteem, and identity to support long-term healing and personal growth.

I offer individual therapy for women facing challenges such as PMDD, postpartum depression, and perinatal mental health concerns—including difficulty adjusting after childbirth, bonding with baby, infertility, and pregnancy or infant loss. I also work with men navigating life transitions, emotional regulation, and high-performance stress.

I enjoy supporting business professionals, veterans, first responders, and fellow therapists who are seeking a grounded space to process, grow, and reconnect with themselves. My practice also offers Christian counseling for those who wish to integrate their faith into the therapeutic process in a meaningful and respectful way.

Whether you're seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, or faith-based counseling, I aim to provide a warm, collaborative space for healing and transformation.

As a Clinical Supervisor;

Whether you're an intern just starting out or a pre-licensed therapist working toward full licensure, supervision with me is all about helping you grow with confidence and clarity. My integrative style means we’ll look at the whole picture—your clinical skills, your personal strengths, your challenges, and how your faith and values show up in the work. You'll get a supportive, down-to-earth space to process cases, ask real questions, and find your voice as a counselor. My goal is to help you become not just a competent clinician, but a grounded, authentic one too
