At Live Oak Counseling Services, we are dedicated to restoring lives to wholeness—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—through professional care that integrates faith-based principles. While our foundation is rooted in Christian values, we are committed to offering compassionate, respectful counseling to individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life and belief systems.

Serving McDonough, GA, and Henry County Since 2021

Live Oak Counseling Services was founded in January 2021 with the vision to provide high-quality counseling that nurtures emotional and spiritual well-being. We have since been serving clients from Henry County, Stockbridge, Locust Grove, Hampton, Covington, Conyers, and other nearby areas, providing counseling services for individuals couples, and families. We offer a welcoming environment where services are tailored to meet each client’s needs, blending professional therapy with principles that align with faith and personal values.

Proudly Serving Forsyth, GA, and Monroe County Since 2025

We recognized a growing need for accessible, high-quality counseling services in this growing and expanding community. With a heart to serve, we opened our Forsyth office to meet this need and provide support to individuals and families seeking guidance. Our location is conveniently accessible to Jackson in Butts County, Macon in Bibb County, Barnesville in Lamar County, Thomaston in Upson County, and Griffin in Spalding County, making it easier for clients across the region to connect with compassionate, professional care.

Amber Flannery, MA LPC CPCS

Amber Flannery, LPC and founder of Live Oak Counseling, offers integrative therapy for adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, and life transitions. She also provides Christian counseling and clinical supervision for interns and associate-level therapists.

Teresa Anderson, Ed.D, LPC, MS

Dr. Teresa Anderson is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting adults, couples, and families through anxiety, grief, trauma, and relationship challenges. She offers faith-based, trauma-informed care using CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Laura Adams, MS LPC CRC

Laura Adams, LPC, CRC, is a Forsyth-based licensed therapist with over 15 years of experience helping adults and older adults (55+) navigate grief, anxiety, and life transitions. She offers both individual and couples therapy rooted in evidence-based care.

Kivonna Taylor, LMSW

Kivonna, LMSW, offers therapy for individuals 13+ struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, and self-identity. Using CBT and SFBT, Kivonna helps clients build resilience, set boundaries, and achieve personal growth in a supportive, client-centered space.

Hayley Kingry, MS APC

Hayley is a therapist with a passion for helping children, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges. With an eclectic therapeutic approach, she combines traditional methods like CBT and Trauma-Focused Therapy with expressive arts, promoting overall wellness for her clients.

Emily Echols, MA

Emily Echols, offers compassionate therapy for adults and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Now accepting clients 18+ and teens (15–17).

Taj Maddox, Graduate Counseling Intern

Taj Maddox, is a warm and approachable Graduate Therapist Intern in McDonough, GA, helping teens (13+), adults, and young adults navigate anxiety, stress, and relationships.

Devon Duncan, Graduate Counseling Intern

Devon Duncan, Graduate Counseling Intern in McDonough, GA, works with teens (13+), young adults, adults, and couples on anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, and life transitions.

Brianna Wright, Graduate Counseling Intern

Brianna is a Graduate Counseling Intern dedicated to supporting teens and adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. With a Person-Centered and CBT approach, she creates a safe, empathetic space to help clients navigate life's challenges.
