Dr. Teresa Anderson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. She has over 15 years of counseling experience in community mental health. Teresa works with adults, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals. She holds a Bachelor's of Psychology from Georgia State University. Teresa obtained a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling at Argosy University Atlanta. She continued her educational journey by pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision at Argosy University Sarasota.
Dr. Anderson is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that aims at addressing the needs of children and adults with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Teresa has acquired extensive knowledge in working with a wide variety of issues including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, trauma, relationship issues, and communication. She utilizes different modalities of therapy that are tailored to the client's needs. Teresa's goal in counseling is to instill hope, insight, encouragement, and spiritual growth.
Additionally, Dr. Anderson is an adjunct professor at Ohio Christian University. Working at Ohio Christian University allows Teresa to prepare students to serve effectively in the church and society by utilizing an integrative, holistic, and Christ-centered approach. Teresa has always had a passion for serving and helping others.
Teresa loves spending time with her nine-year-old son and her husband during her free time. Teresa enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, exercising, and spending quality time with friends.
